The German Version of the Hybrid Work Characteristics Scale

Abstract. Introduction: To account for fast-paced developments at work, hybrid work characteristics (HWCs) were introduced. measure them, an English instrument was developed by Xie et al. (2019) . HWCs encompass more than one domain such as the task, social, or contextual and include boundarylessness, multitasking, demand constant learning, non-work-related interruptions are associated with employee attitudes well-being. Objectives: We validated a German translation of HWC scale. Method: Using samples from Germany ( N = 391) United Kingdom 400), we assessed quality translation. Results: The version internally consistent, showed acceptable model fit, reached scalar level measurement invariance. related to Conclusion: recommend use scale, our results support its reliability validity.
